Fernando Mastrangelo : Ghost Furniture

Presented at the last Collective New York Design Fair (USA), Ghost is a series of furniture consisting of a dining table, a console and a coffee table. Imagined by designer Fernando Mastrangelo, these parts are made of cement with a robotic arm.

The three elements of this collection bound by the circularity seem to defy gravity. The dining table looks set to spin on itself, which can fall at any time: the round top rests on a foot ball also for air and destabilizing outcome. Approaching the shape and texture of a pebble that could have dug and laid on the ground, the coffee table is characterized by its simplicity and sweetness. The console, elaborated on the same model, also based on the ground without feet or base. In the manner of a negative round hump, a cavity forms on its facade, highlighting the grooves cement. The choice of this material offers sculpted the series great delicacy and an element of mystery, supported by the name he gave his creator: Ghost.

With its minimalist aesthetic and gentle curves Ghost is an assembly of floating Timeless pieces in space in the manner of a ghost.
