PPA, scalene architectes et AFA + 3A Composites : Résidence Olympe de Gouges

The residence Olympe de Gouges, composed of 600 student housing designed by agencies PPA, scalene architects and AFA is adorned with 11 000 square meters of ALUCOBOND® aluminum composite panels. The exterior façades and courtyards are coated with ALUCOBOND® A2, for common parts in narrow vertical fields from R + 1 to R + 7.

Composed of two volumes in L joined together forming a rectangle and leaving a central garden, the project was born from the will of the architects to offer Toulouse students the maximum of privacy despite the large capacity. The 11 000 square meters of panels ALUCOBOND® were slung on the facades and fixed by invisible white rivets in the mass. The material ALUCOBOND® was chosen for its great flatness and rigidity but also for its durability obtained by a lacquering PVDF coil coating. Three gloss scales have been specially designed in white: matt, satin and glossy. The pivoting shutters dressed in ALUCOBOND® A2 2 lacquered faces constitute a changing epidermis, depending on whether they are open or closed.
