Bernard Bühler : Résidence Fulton

As part of the urban renewal project for Fulton Island, in the 13th arrondissement of Paris, architect Bernard Bühler, winner of the contest sponsored by the social housing company ICF Habitat La Sablière, delivers a residence of 87 social housing. The whole, with holographic and geometric balconies, animates the front of the Seine.

Built in the place of the old Paris 13 Tower, a residential building erected in the 1960 years, and an ephemeral urban art support in 2013, the Fulton residence offers its tenants a quality, functional and respectful habitat environmental. It is thus part of the City of Paris' Climate Plan, notably thanks to an efficient insulation.

Spread over 11 floors, the 87 apartments ranging from the T1 to the T5 are intended to accommodate a low-income population in prime conditions, with mostly balconies facing the river. On the quays of the Seine, the building stands out with its concrete structure and the kaleidoscopic covering of its asymmetrical balconies, a blue / gold dichrome glass, offering residents polymorphic terraces, whose color changes according to the light.

The rest of the plot will be completed by two other buildings of Ignacio Prego and PERIPHERALS / Architects, which will close the rehabilitation of this islet in the south of Paris.

The project is selected forles ArchiDesignclub Awards 2018inthe Special Awards category - Innovation-Materials Award
