Noa* : Hotel Hubertus

At the foot of the ski resort of Kronplatz in Valadora (Italy), the Italian architect noa * rehabilitates the Hotel Hubertus, a former family-run hotel, into an imposing holiday complex. In addition to the sixteen new suites, it features several restaurants, a wine cellar, a fitness room and a rooftop, but above all an impressive swimming pool overlooking 25 meters up the mountain.

The façade of the establishment takes up the topography of the site by alternating curves and hollows, punctuated by oblique posts in larch which also support the impressive swimming pool enthroned at 12 meters in height and the bottom contains a glass part, offering To its users the impression of swimming in the air. Coated with anthracite stone, the latter is inspired by the configuration of Lake Dolomites, a UNESCO World Heritage Site surrounded by dark mountains. A rooftop has also been put at the disposal of the customers to enable them to make the most of the exceptional panorama on the Tyrol which extends before their eyes.

The interior design of the hotel is in keeping with the traditional style of the mountain hut and the rooms also enjoy a view of the entire Valadora Valley with long bay windows and private terraces.

Noa * realizes here a place halfway between typical high-rise residence and the luxurious contemporary building in which travelers can bathe while contemplating the abundant nature that unfolds around them.
